Successful Events Planning Consultation

Over the past one month I have been working with a local NGO to organize an event. This was a totally new thing but it turned out to be a very successful event. The said event, a One Day Soccer Tournament (soccer is another passion of mine), saw eight teams play through one Saturday with participants and fans touting it as one of the best soccer events ever organized within the area. The Tournamnet was organized to help rally and engage youth through a Behaviour Change Communication Strategy. Soccer being a universal, we thought it would be a good channel to engage the community.

The preliminary stages have been played and the intermediate stages will be in August 2010.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some tools to enable local NGO's plan such events and also share some tidbits on how to do it well.
